A unique way to know Porto

As a queer person and tourist guide in the city of Porto, I have always heard the same story about Portugal over and over again, lacking a critical perspective and far removed from the decolonial discourse that is so necessary today.

Therefore, I decided to create a tour that is more honest with the facts, telling a story about Portugal that has been ignored for years: our real story.

Research is a constant search for new thoughts and, mainly, new reinterpretations of the past. This journey leads to unusual discoveries, like the story of Elisa and Marcela, two Spanish women whose destiny was shaped in Porto, Maning this undefeated city a refuge. Porto became their safe haven, a place that holds brutally forbidden loves and secrets, yet always leaves a mystery in the air to reveal. This is how the idea of the Queer Tour in Porto was born.

I want to share with the world the remarkable stories, significant places, and inspiring people who have been an invisible part of LGBTQ+ history.

My goal is not to educate or raise awareness, but to inspire and connect people through the real stories of queer struggle and resistance in Porto.

I invite you to join us on a journey of celebration and sharing in the heart of Porto.

Come be inspired and celebrate the queer history of this incredible city with us. Together, we can preserve the past, celebrate the present, and build a more inclusive future.

I hope to see you soon on the Queer Tours in Porto!
